1. Product Introduction

Concentrator is the key equipment in low voltage power line carrier electric energy meter reading system. The downlink channel has low voltage power line carrier and RS485 serial communication channel. It can copy automatically by the carrier channel and store all kinds of carrier communication function of intelligent instrument, data acquisition module, and other various carrier equipment power, and can through the RS485 channel 485 electric energy meter data acquisition outside; Also can pass the uplink channel data interaction with host or handheld devices, its uplink channel uses a public network, support the client and server two communication modes, and uses the modular design, it can directly change the communication mode by replacing the communication module.
It is in accordance with the relevant standards of IEC, the communication agreement between the main station and concentrator of the state grid power information acquisition system, and the relevant technical conditions and type specifications of the state grid.

Current time reading and synchronization time

The terminal shall be able to receive the clock call and timing commands of the master station or local handheld device. The timing error shall not exceed 5s. The running time error of the terminal clock within 24 hours is less than 0.5 s. After the power is out of power, the clock keeps working normally. The local channel can broadcast the time to the electric energy meter in the system.

Terminal parameter Settings and queries

The terminal can be set and query terminal file, communication address, terminal configuration and configuration parameters, communication parameters and so on by the main station and handheld device.

The data transfer

Communication with main station

(1)According to the requirements of the command of the main station, the terminal regularly or randomly sends to the main station all kinds of information such as power collected and stored by the terminal, maximum demand, power indication and state quantity, etc.

(2)The communication protocol with the main station conforms to Q/GDW 1376.1-2013 communication protocol of power user electricity information acquisition system: communication protocol between the main station and the acquisition terminal.

(3)The terminal has flow control measures.

Communicate with the electric energy meter

The terminal communicates with the electric energy meter and copies and stores the data of the electric energy meter according to the set copying interval. The data forwarding command of the main station can be accepted, and the data of the electric energy meter can be transmitted directly to the main station through the remote channel.

Terminal initialization

After receiving the initialization command issued by the main station, the terminal initializes the hardware, parameter area and data area respectively. The parameter area is set as the default value and the data area is reset.

The remote upgrade

(1)Software upgrade: terminal software can be upgraded online through remote communication channels.

(2)Breakpoint continuation: when the terminal downloads remote software, the terminal software has breakpoint continuation capability.

(3) Terminal version information: the terminal can query terminal version information by local display or remote call testing.

(4)Traffic statistics: the terminal can count the communication traffic with the main station.

Module information

The terminal can read and store the wireless public network communication module model, version, ICCID, signal strength and other information.

Grounding resistance capability

The power of the concentrator by the effective earthing system or of a three-phase four-wire distribution network neutral point grounding system power supply, 10% in ground fault and relatively overvoltage, under the condition of no grounding of two relatively voltage will be 1.9 times of the nominal voltage; In this case, the concentrator will not be damaged. After the power supply returns to normal, the concentrator will work normally and the data will not be changed.

4.3      Support Electric Energy Meter Types

Currently, the electric energy meter types supported are divided into three types according to the combination of category Numbers 0, 4, 15, small class Numbers 0, specification types DL/ T 645-1997 and DL/ T 645-2007.

5.3   LCD Display of Concentrator

                       The main interface of concentrator is shown in figure 4.


Figure 4 shows the main interface

When the concentrator is installed on the site for the first time after power on, system will be initialized according to the default parameters, but the default parameters may not meet the requirements of the scene at that time, therefore, the user needs to manually set the parameters.

5.3.1 Menu interface

Show some fixed parameters (not participate in cycle display), such as communication mode, signal strength, abnormal alarm, etc.

The main display panel data, such as terminal IP, port, etc.

Ø   The bottom shows the status bar

Display the running state of the concentrator, such as task execution status, and the main communication state.

5.3.2 Meanings of each symbol in the top-level menu

Signal strength indicator, the highest is 4grids, the minimum is 1 grid.

When the signal is only 1-2 grids, it means the signal is weak and the communication is not very stable. When the signal intensity is 3-4 grids, the signal is good and the communication is stable.

Communication instructions:

G :means GPRS communication mode

S :means SMS (short message) communication

C :means CDMA communication

L :stands for wired communication

W :stands for radio station communication

Abnormal alarm indication represents an abnormal condition about the concentrator or measurement point. When an exception occurs in the concentrator, the flag will be flashing with the exception event alarm code in turn.

5.3.3 Menu specification instructions

The concentrator display is divided into three types: cycle display mode, key query mode and key setting mode. The key query mode and the key setting mode require the operator to press the button. When the concentrator display is in the cycle display mode, it can enter the key operation mode by pressing any key. In the non-cycle display mode, the concentrator display the main menu interface as shown in figure 5.

Selecting the function menu through the key in the main menu, and then enter the corresponding function sub-menu to perform the corresponding operation. When the button is in the corresponding state to stop the button for 1 minute, the concentrator automatically restores the cycle display mode.

    The functional description of each mode is as follows:

1) Cycle display mode

By default, the concentrator, can be displayed on a screen wheel by selecting the content, with a cycle display period of 8 seconds. The default display content contains: master station IP, port, etc. The display mode and display content can be changed at the main station or on site as required.

2) Key query mode

When the concentrator is in roll-show mode, pressing any key to enter the main menu. Then press the corresponding query button to enter the query mode.

When in the key query display mode, you can turn over the screen through the key operation to display all unblocked content. After stopping the button for a minute, the concentrator returns to the original display mode.

3) Key setting mode

When the concentrator is in roll-show mode, press any key to enter the main menu. Then following the settings button to enter the settings mode.

In the display mode of button setting, parameters such as communication parameters with the main station, operation parameters of measurement points, password and time can be set. After stopping the button for a minute, the concentrator returns to the original display mode.

5.3.4 Parameter Setup

The interface for parameter setup and viewing is as shown in figure 6:

a)      Network communication parameter setup: Through setting up of network parameter, the uplink channel connection is brought about between concentrator and master station.


b)     Users want to modify the concentrator parameters ,first, user need to select item "parameter settings and view" and press "Enter" button and enter the parameter setting options, according to the "communications channel Settings", "electric energy meter parameter Settings", and "concentrator time Settings", "interface password", "concentrator number" ,etc. sub menu items, "concentrator number", for example, according to the Enter button to enter show "administrative area code", and "concentrator address information, then press" Enter button ", can undertake operating, liquid crystal display (LCD) has two, respectively is "scroll" and "setval", select "setval" press "Enter" key after Enteration. At this time if the user has not been through the password authentication LCD prompts "please enter the password" "* * * * * *", then the cursor stays on the first "*", press "up" or "down" button, the bottom of the LCD displays the location can enter Numbers or characters. Press "Left" and "Right" the cursor stays on the next "*" modifications to use, modify completely according to the "Enter" button to enter (initial password: 000000), a display area code modify page, according to the "up" or "down" button to modify the corresponding data, left or right button to change the cursor position, just Enter after modification. Other parameter modification and viewing functions refer to this parameter to view the modification.
