1.    Overview

Single Phase BS Type Electronic Energy Meter is designed and manufactured using today's advanced electric energy meter specific integrated circuits, microprocessors, high-stability memory for permanently storing information, wide-temperature liquid crystal display technology, and SMT process. High precision, wide load, high sensitivity and low power consumption for AC active energy measurement in single-phase power grids with rated frequency of 60Hz. This table integrates many functions into one, realizes active energy metering, and can be used flexibly to select various presets. Function: Power, fault alarm, infrared meter reading and other functions. The PC and PDA are used as the media to realize the information transmission between the users and the power supply department computers. It has an infrared interface to facilitate the power department to implement computer network management. And use a variety of software, hardware anti-jamming measures to ensure the reliable operation of the meter, so as to adapt to the power department's effective and timely modern scientific management needs.

The performance indicators meet the technical requirements of the standard IEC62052-11 and IEC62053-21 for single-phase electronic energy meters.

1.1 Features

        1.2 Working Principle

The working principle of the meter is shown in the figure below:


When meter is under working, the voltage and current are sampled by the sampling circuit and then multiplied by the energy processing unit in the SOC chip and sent to the CPU unit in the SOC chip for processing. Finally, the CPU unit in the SOC chip sends the processed data to display parts, communication parts and other output devices according to the needs.

3.2 Pulse LED
   On the bottom of the LCD display, there is a long-life LED light-emitting diode as a pulse indicator: it is always off, and flashes when the active energy is measured.

4. Functions

          4.1.1 Measurement

    Active energy measurement: forward measurement, forward measurement even when current is reverse, accumulated forward and reverse energy and store these data.

          4.1.2 Display

            4.1.2.1  Large-screen, wide-temperature digital and English characters LCD display with UV protection function. Under normal use conditions, LCD life is more than 10 years.
           4.1.2.2  With automatic scrolling display and push button display; automatic scrolling display time interval can be configured within 5 to 20 seconds.
           4.1.2.3  Display kWh, voltage, current, instantaneous demand and other values, the default power display 6-digit integer, display decimal places can be configured; the display of numerical units are in accordance to standard measurement units.

         4.1.3  Communication function
With an infrared communication interface, the transmission rate is set to 1200bps by half-duplex. Energy meter can communicate with handheld terminals, data collectors, detection devices, computers, etc. through the communication interface for data transmission, broadcast time setting, reading, programming, management, and etc.

         4.1.4 Pulse output

Energy meter has LED pulse and electric pulse output function proportional to the measured energy consumption.

         4.1.5 Status indicator
In the bottom of the LCD display, there is a LED light-emitting diode, which is defined as a pulse indicator: it is always off, and flashes when the active energy is measured.

6. Installation, transportation and storage

6.1   The transport and unpacking of the electric energy meter should not be subject to severe impact and should be transported and stored in accordance with regulations.

6.2   The electric energy meter should be stored in the original packaging, where the ambient temperature is -30°C~+70°C, and the relative humidity is no more than 85%. There is no corrosive gas in the air.

6.3   Energy meter is stored in the warehouse and should be placed on a gantry with a stack height of no more than 6 boxes. After unpacking, the stacking height of the single-packed power meters shall not exceed 6pcs.
