AMI Management System Manual 

1.Introduction
1.1.Compile aim
This manual is compiled to guide the meter reading personnel to grasp and use it skillfully, and it can also to be used as training book for the related personnel.
1.2.Definition
GPRS:(General Packet Radio Service) is the abbreviation of General Packet Radio Service. Based on GSM system, GPRS is a wireless packet switching technology, which provides the end to end, wide-area wireless IP connectivity. GPRS networks: GPRS technologies are packet-based data services, which is well known for the "always-online”. It is the perfect combination of GSM and the Internet. First, GPRS network is an IP (Internet Protocol) network, which can also be seen as a separate data communications network. GPRS is a part of GSM, which can achieve high-speed wireless Internet access. GPRS is the mobile high-speed packet data services, which is the combination of mobile communications technology and the Internet technology development.
Concentrator ID: water code of concentrator in the database
Meter ID:the water code of the meter in the database
User ID:water code of the user in the database during the service of the concentrator reading system.
Event ID:Water code of the concentrator meter-reading service event in the database.
User software:It is the software through which the use can operate the concentrator through automatic meter reading service system access by themselves.

2.Introduction of the System
"The second term of automatic meter reading products project" system is construction of the client  of  the automatic meter reading system which is mainly according to the Germany user’s requirement on meter reading, concentrator management, data analysis and potential demands. It clearly describes the client and database interface protocol of meter reading services, enabling designers to fully understand interface protocol and carry out a reasonable system design, in this way the development of system can comply with interface protocol. Product Function:
1.System: operation of changing the current user’s password and changing the user. Including the home page, re-login, change the password, and exit.
2.Permissions maintenance: Managing the assessment institutions, staff and the stuff’s authority. It includes the role maintenance, department maintenance, staff maintenance, and user maintenance.
3.Code maintenance: maintenance of the code used in the system. Code provides data support to the construction of System during the management of the code, which cannot be changed arbitrarily so after the code is presented to the user after the construction of the system, the user only can view the code. 
4.To maintain the equipment parameter in the system, authorize the user maintenance and view access limitation according to user access limitation. 
5.According to management requirement to manage the concentrator in the system. With left tree, right picture structure, user login to the system, is only access to its own organization and the sub organization. 
6.To manage meters in the system according to management requirement. With left tree and right picture structure, user logged in the system, can view only its own organization and the sub organization.  
7.Data query of meter reading : The user logged in the system, can view the concentrator and meter data info of its own and the sub organization according to the status of authorization.
8.The query and maintenance of fault and alarm.
The user logged in the system, according to the different authorization, it can view the fault and alarm record of only its own level and the sub organization. The event symbol of fault and alarm record are divided into processed, unprocessed, the unprocessed event can be processed in fault and alarm query.
9.New Equipment status query
The user logged in the system, can only query the equipment status of its own level and the sub organization according to the authorization.
10.Power query: The user logged in the system, can only query the meter power information of its own level and the sub organization according to the authorization.
11.New equipment inquiries: The user logged in the system, can only query the equipment status of its own level and the sub organization according to the authorization.
12.Help: The system provides help text.

3.1 Functional Requirements
3.1.1 Organization maintenance
3.1.1.1 Task Description
To maintenance the system organization by the administrator, with left tree and right picture structure. After the maintenance, the user logged in to the system, is only access to the company that belonged and the sub company, it is unavailable to check the others among same level. The left side displays system organization, it defaults to have a knob, its right side displays the field: operation, option, name, description, post code.
3.1.1.2 Function Description
Click the character with red circle “The Avtivis Safeguards” in picture 3-1, to enter into organization maintenance interface.

1.Add
Click the sub organization knot in organization maintenance interface, to enter the name of organization on the right side(a must), description, post code field, click Add, save thedata into database, as the picture below, “+”stands for Add, the item in the circle of the picture 3-2 is the organization name that must enter.

2.Edit
In the organization maintenance interface, click EDIT in front of the item enter into record edit interface. There are BACK and SAVE button, after the record edited, click SAVE, the record is saved to data, click BACK, to back to the organization maintenance interface. As the picture 3-3, click the logo inside circle, to enter into edit page of picture 3-4.

3.Delete
In the page of maintenance of interface,choose the organization that need to delete, it can delete one or more record, the operation control condition listed as below: 
If there’s staff under this organization, it needs to delete the staff information before delete this organization. 
If there’s meter and concentrator, when deleting this organization, the organization maintenance of the concentrator is null, and also the news frame will occur to indicate.
As in picture 3-5, choose the item which needs to delete inside the red circle.

3.1.2 Staff maintenance
3.1.2.1 Process Description
To maintenance the staff in the system. The authorized person maintenance the menu. With left tree and right picture structure, the left displays organization structure tree, and right side displays the staff information, including the fields: operation, serial number, option, name, fixed phone, mobile phone. The authorized user enters into staff maintenance interface, is only available to see staff information of its organization and the sub organization.
3.1.2.2 Function Description
Click the character “Staff Management” in the red circle, to enter into staff maintenance interface.

1、Add
In staff maintenance interface, click the knob of the organization structure of the staff that needs to add, on the right side, must enter name, fixed phone, mobile information field, click Add, if succeeded, this staff is added into the chosen organization, the record is saved into database. As Pic 3-7, the “+”inside the circle is the button of add. , the right circle is for the staff name.

2、Edit
In the staff maintenance interface, click Edit in front of the record that needs to edit, enters into record edit interface, there are Back and Save button, after edited the record, click Save, the record is saved to data, then click Back to back to staff maintenance interface. As in Pic 3-8,click the logo in red to enter into edit page (As in Pic 3-9).

3、 Delete
In staff maintenance interface, choose the staff that needs to delete, it is available to delete one or more records. The operation condition control is as below:
When deleting the staff, if the staff is assigned with role in the user management, it needs to cancel the role of the user, then to delete the staff, otherwise there will be error indication.
As in Pic 3-10, choose the staff that needed to delete, then, click the button on the upper right side to delete the staff.

3.1.3 Role maintenance
3.1.3.1 Process Description
To maintenance the role in the system. According to the management requirement, maintenance different system role, different role has different use authority. The role maintenance interface field includes: operation (Edit, Authority), operation frame, role name, role description.

Click Pic 3-11 the character “Role Management” inside the circle, to enter into staff maintenance interface.

In role maintenance interface, enter role name (must),role description, click Add, the record is saved into database. As in Pic 3-12, at the left lower side, click “+” inside the red circle, the right side in red circle is the role name that user must enter.

2、Edit
In role maintenance interface, click Edit in front of the record that needs to edit, to enter into record edit interface, there are Back, Save button in the interface, after editing the record, click Save, to save the data into database, click Back to back into role maintenance interface. Click Pic 3-13, the logo in the circle, to enter into edit interface to edit, as shown in Pic 3-14.

3、Authorization
In role maintenance interface, choose the role record that needs to authorize, click the button Authorize in front of the record, to appear role authorize interface, the interface shows all function menus in the system, there are Authorize and Close button in the interface. In the interface that appears, in front each functional menu, there is a click box, according to the role requirement, choose the function menu in need. Click the logo in the circle in Pic 3-15,to enter into authorize interface to authorize the related role, as in Pic 3-16, it is the role authorization interface.

4、Delete
In role maintenance interface, choose the role that need to delete, it is available to delete one or more records. The operation condition control is as below:
If delete the role, the related user will not own the system authority, can not login to the system.
As in Pic 3-17,at the left side, the part with circle, is the part that need to delete, the right side is the button for Delete.

3.1.4 User maintenance
3.1.4.1 Process Description
According to the management requirement, to maintenance system user. With left tree and right picture structure, the left side displays system organization structure tree, and the right side displays user information, including the fields: operation (Edit, Authorization ), option, user name, login name, login password, user serial number, organization code.
3.1.4.2 Function Description
Click the character in circle in Pic 3-18,”User Management” to enter into staff maintenance interface.

In user maintenance interface, choose the user organization that need to add. In Staff Option lower menu, displays only its own organization and the sub organization staff name. Choose staff (must), the staff information is from staff maintenance, login name, login password(must),user series number, organization code (organization code in selected organization tree, ineditable), click Add, the record is saved into database. As shown in Pic 3-19

3、Authorization
In user maintenance interface, choose the user record that needs to be authorized, click Authorization in front of the record, the user authorization interface will appear, all roles in the system will be displayed in the interface, there are Authorization, Close button. In the appeared interface, there’s the click box in front of the role. Choose the needed role according to the requirement, then click Authorization, the process finished, click Close, back to user maintenance interface, as shown in Pic 3-22, 3-23.

4、Delete
In user maintenance interface, choose the user that needs to delete, it is available to delete one or more records, as shown in Pic 3-24.

3.1.5 Code maintenance
3.1.5.1 Process Description
Maintenance the code used in system. Code maintenance interface includes the fields: operation (Check the subs), serious number, code type, code description, layer division.

Click the item “Code Management” inside the red circle in Pic 3-25 to enter into staff maintenance interface.

If there are sub items in the code, click the function frame to enter into code sub item view interface, to view the sub item info, now there’s only code view in the system, edit is unavailable.
Code type: Assort the code in the system according to code use situation in the system (must input), the code type info in the system is displayed here, the code type in the system are: task type, communication type, tariff, task parameter, event parameter, meter, equipment type, data rule.
Code description: to describe the code type
Layer division: If there are sub items in the code, the layer info will be displayer here. Currently there are three levels of the code in the system, the details codes are listed below:

3.1.6 Parameter maintenance
3.1.6.1 Process description
To maintain the equipment parameter in the system, authorize the user maintenance and view access limitation according to user access limitation. The parameter info includes: main key of parameter (enter 645 protocol code here), parameter name, parameter format, data length, data type (in the down list, choose number, letter, time, defaulted as null), data accuracy, data unit, data max limitation, data min limitation。
3.1.6.2 Function description
Click “Parameter Management” inside red circle to enter into staff maintenance interface.

Parameter maintenance includes delete (one or more records), edit, and print/out put function.
Due to there are not many parameters in the system, do not set query condition for the parameters as shown in Pic 3-30 and 3-31.

3.1.7 Concentrator management
3.1.7.1Process description
According to management requirement to manage the concentrator in the system. With left tree, right picture structure, user login to the system, is only access to its own organization and the sub organization. The right side displays concentrator info, query interface field includes: concentrator ID, meter, online status, belonging company, task status, install address, replace symbol. Edit interface field includes: concentrator ID, password, communication methods, communication protocol, specification, SIM card ID, task name (read only), task status (read only), online status (read only), last communication time (read only), last time adjust (read only), installer, install time, install address, maintainer(read only), maintenance organization (read only), remark.
There is a particular organization in the concentrator management and meter management page which show the non-organization’s equipment. This organization can only show at the concentrator management and meter management function and can not be maintained at permission management. The specific name of organization can be maintained to the database as the basic data and users can change it.
3.1.7.2 Function description
In pic 3-34 below, click “Concentrator Management” inside the red circle, to enter into concentrator management interface.

1、Add
In concentrator interface management interface, choose the organization knot in the concentrator that needs to add, click Add button to enter into concentrator maintenance interface, to maintain the concentrator info. The field includes: concentrator ID, password, communication methods (option with down menu list), communication protocol (option with down menu list), specification, SIM card ID, task name (this filed is back of serve program, the task name is from the backed task ID, it is not editable). Task status (read only) (option with down menu list), online status (the code of login person), last communication time (read only), last time adjust(read only), installer, install time, install address, maintainer (read only), maintenance organization (if it is new added record, it is the company code of the selected organization, if it is record update, the display will be the company code in the database, it is not editable.), remark, the concentrator edit interface includes: Save, Add, Back button. After adding the concentrator info, click Save, the data is saved to database. Click Add to add concentrator info continuously, click Back to return to the concentrator management interface. As shown in pic 3-35.

2、 Query
In concentrator management interface, query the concentrator info according to concentrator ID, task type, starting time, ending time, task sub type, meter parameter, reading frequency, as shown in pic 3-36.

3、 Delete
In the interface of concentrator management, kick on the selected info, click the button in red circle to delete the selected concentrator, if there are meters under this concentrator, the user need to confirm whether to cancel the meters from the concentrator, exact delete operation after confirmed by user, to cancel the relationship between meter and concentrator in the database. As shown in pic 3-37.

4、Replace
Currently, system does not support this function, but keep the function button.
5、Task setting
When clicking task setting in concentrator management interface, must select concentrator and then select task, indicate whether to set all meters according to different tasks, if it is needed to choose meter, please choose a concentrator, choose the meter under concentrator and set task. The task of concentrator can be set below: 
Standard task setting
Standard task is to read meter parameter by a fixed meter reading frequency, the reading frequency are: each month, daily, each hour, every 15 minutes, each meter is available to be set different meter reading frequency, and must choose meter reading frequency when setting standard task. The concentrator process the meter reading timely according to the meter setting of reading frequency, the reading server reads all kind of reading frequency data at time intervals.
Customer terminal software adds standard task setting to the database, after successfully set, the meter reading service of concentrator will read the standard task data from concentrator during reading period of standard task reading automatically. If the meter already set with standard task, user can change the standard task according to the requirement, and update the task change data to the concentrator.
Special task function setting
Special task means to appoint special parameter(voltage, current, power, active, reactive, RTC, etc), and appoint reading frequency (each month, daily, each hour, each 15 minutes, once), the special task must appoint the reading frequency, and each start time(month/day/hour/minute) of meter reading, each meter has only one special task.
Customer terminal software add the special task setting to the database, after successfully set, the concentrator meter reading service will read special task data from the concentrator during special task reading period. If the meter is already set with special task, the user can change or delete according to the requirement, and update the change or delete info into the concentrator.
Read of meter reading data
Read the special task or the special task data of all meters or the appointed meter during the stored time period of the concentrator.
Customer terminal software add reading of meter reading task to the database, and to enter the appointed time interval (start time and ending time) and meter reading (support all meters and the assigned meter), after successfully set, the concentrator will forward the qualified meter reading data to the customer terminal.
Direct reading of meter function
The user choose or enter the meter ID and the reading parameter that needs to read, then send the direct reading meter data task to the concentrator, the concentrator will immediate read the assigned meter and the assigned parameter, and the forward the reading data to the customer terminal. The direct meter reading includes: set direct meter reading task and stop direct meter reading task.
The customer terminal software add the setting of direct meter reading task to the database, and fill the assigned reading parameter and reading meter (supports the meter reading of mass quantity), after successfully setting, the concentrator begins to read the assigned parameter of assigned meter, and forward the reading data to the customer terminal. When concentrator is executing meter reading, you can add stopping direct meter reading task to cancel the current meter reading.
Add meter info
Add meter info to the concentrator.
Delete meter info
Delete the existed meter info in the concentrator. This function includes deleting all meters and the assigned meter (supports deleting meters of mass quantity.)
Query of meter info
Forward the existed meter info in the concentrator. This function includes query of all meters and the assigned meters (supports query of meters of mass quantity)
Remote control of concentrator
To remote control the concentrator, when concentrator receives a order, it will exact the related control operation automatically.
Mainly includes:
Overall reset: when the concentrator receives an order, it will restart the concentrator hardware automatically.
Stop meter reading: when the concentrator receives an order, it will immediately stop the processing meter reading task.
Restart meter reading: when concentrator receives an order, it will restart the last meter reading task.
Resume meter reading: when concentrator receives an order, it will start the last unfinished meter reading task.
Broadcast time adjust: when concentrator receives an order, it will adjust the time of concentrator, and to adjust the time of the meters that belongs.
Manual time adjust: when concentrator receives an order, it will adjust the time of concentrator.
Query of concentrator running info
Query of concentrator running information, mainly includes: the current time of concentrator, the current working status of concentrator, concentrator version info, concentrator management of meters, meter reading info under the concentrator, the last meter reading time of concentrator, concentrator switch setting status, etc.
Meter info setting
Meter info setting, mainly includes: set meter week tariff, set meter holiday tariff, set meter power on/off. As shown in pic 3-38.

6、Meter parameter
In concentrator management interface, choose concentrator, can set detailed parameter. For parameter info, please refer to parameter maintenance interface.
7、View task
In concentrator management interface, click View task to enter into view task interface, choose the detailed task to view, the task that display the result by viewing sub task includes: general data query (Standard task, special task, the meter frozen profile in direct reading task data.), query of meter info, event record reading.
As shown in pic 3-39, click View Task to view task, and then enter into task query interface in pic 3-40.

3.1.8.1 Process description
To manage meters in the system according to management requirement. With left tree and right picture structure, user logged in the system, can view only its own organization and the sub organization. The right side displays concentrator info, the field includes: meter ID, phase status, reading frequency, communication methods, meter password, collector ID, concentrator ID, task, task status, tariff ID, meter maintenance company, online status, change symbol, power supply status, communication protocol, meter specification, SIM card ID, meter initial value(total), meter initial value (T1)(T2)(T3)(T4), Meter over-threshold current instruction, meter over-threshold current value power consumption type, installation time, installer, install instruction, customer ID, customer maintenance company, maintainer, etc
3.1.8.2 Function description
Click “Meter Management” in red circle in pic 3-41 to enter in the concentrator management interface.

In meter management interface, click Add button, to enter into meter edit interface, enter info of the added meter.
Meter ID (the system generate meter ID +1, editable, this field is the main item that needs to be system tested)
phase status, reading frequency, communication methods, meter password, collector ID, concentrator ID, task,( Meter reading service will fill it when it carry out tasks, and show at the user, use TASK_ID to map the task name of the task table, if it can not mapped it will show as is free and can not be edited) task status, tariff ID( 0 indicate the tariff is unset,  >0 the tariff has been set, default 0, if it is grater than 0, then click link to check the detail information of the tariff ), meter maintenance company( maintenance company, if the organization login the organization tree on the left, the left organization tree will show its unit and the subordinate organization, so the organization can add meter for its own organization, also the organization can add meter for the subordinate organization), online status, change symbol, power supply status, communication protocol, meter specification, SIM card ID, meter initial value(total), meter initial value (T1)(T2)(T3)(T4), meter CT rate, meter PT rate, power consumption type, install time, installer, power consumption address code, power consumption address, install instruction, customer ID, customer maintenance company, maintainer, the login user).
As shown in Figure 3-42 Click the Add button to enter meter managing editor page, as shown in Figure 3-43. One editorial page 【Save】 to save the current page, click the 【Add】 can continue to add, click 【Back】 can return to the list page.

As in pic 3-44, to query according to meter ID, customer ID, concentrator ID, communication methods, area code and organization.

3. Task setting
Choose the meter that needs to set task, choose task, if there’s sub task, choose sub task, the start time of task, ending time of task, time interval field is displayed or hided according to detail task. After selected meter and task type, click Task setting, the task of meter sends out. The meter task includes

Choose or input the condition of part inside the red circle, click “Refresh” to filter the current data. Click the task type in the left of pic 3-48, or to query the data through task type.

6.Delete
Tick to choose the info, click the button to delete the chosen meter, if the meter is under the concentrator, the user should confirm whether to cancel the meter from the concentrator, and to delete the meter in the database, after the confirmation of user, exact the delete operation. As in pic 3-49, click the left side option to choose the data record that needs to delete, click the right side button to delete.

7.View holiday tariff
To view the equipment tariff in the system. The tariff info includes: holiday date, every 15 minute interval, tariff, area, the data is inputted into database of meter reading system by ERP system according to system structure. If there’s data in the system, it displays holiday tariff ID in Holiday ID item, otherwise, it displays 0, if it is not 0, click Holiday ID to display tariff query.
As in pic 3-50, click the red line part to enter into query interface of holiday tariff, pic 3-51 is the query interface of holiday tariff.

8.View tariff
3.1.9 Data query of meter reading
3.1.9.1Process description
The user logged in the system, can view the concentrator and meter data info of its own and the sub organization according to the status of authorization.
3.1.9.2 Function description
Click“Meter Reading Date Query “ in red circle of pic 3-52, to enter into data query interface of meter reading.

Query of meter reading, filter the meter according to meter ID, concentrator ID, customer ID, area code, record lines, combine methods. In the filtered record, choose start time, ending time, task type (the task of meter reading data: set standard task, set special task, query of  meter reading data, direct meter reading ), since one meter can be set with different parameter, during the query, it is able to choose parameter of query.The query filed info includes: customer ID, meter ID, concentrator ID, meter reading time, phase status, name of parameter, parameter value, data status.
Customer ID, meter ID adopts the link style, click the link to enter into meter management interface to check detailed meter info. The basic operation is shown as in 3-53
Export】is print,【Query】 is query,【Param】means to set parameter,the following in circle is used to sort in this field.

3.1.10 The query and maintenance of fault and alarm.
3.1.10.1Process description
The user logged in the system, according to the different authorization, it can view the fault and alarm record of only its own level and the sub organization. The event symbol of fault and alarm record are divided into processed, unprocessed, the unprocessed event can be processed in fault and alarm query.

Click “Fault and Alarm Management ”in red circle of pic 3-54, to enter into query and maintenance interface of fault and alarm.

Fault and alarm query, to query according to concentrator ID, meter ID, customer ID, event type, event symbol and event record. If do not choose, it will be the query of event record of its own level and the sub level. With left tree and right picture structure, the left side displays organization structure tree, the right side displays record info, the record info includes the field: task ID, task name, concentrator ID, meter ID, customer ID, event type, event time, event content, event symbol (option with down menu list), maintenance company (company code in organization structure tree ), event remark. The event symbol and event remark fields can be edited.
As shown in pic 3-55, displays the save interface, click Save button to save the data.

The user logged in the system, can only query the equipment status of its own level and the sub organization according to the authorization.

The Export is for print, Query is for query, and the big circles are the query conditions.

With left tree, right picture structure, the left displays organization tree, the right displays record information. Query meter information according to meter ID, the record field info includes: customer ID, meter ID, concentrator ID, communication type, meter phase status. Choose the meter reading time interval and meter parameter (choose only one meter parameter), to display line status of the appointed meter. The horizon axis displays time of meter reading, the vertical axis displays the data of meter reading. In pic 3-60, it is the query of meter info, the item in red of the left side is the query condition of meter ID, the red circle in right side is the query button.

In pic below 3-61, click Param button to enter 3-61 to set the parameter, the left side is for choosing parameters, choose and click select button, the parameter is successfully set.

3.1.13.1New Equipment Query
According to the authorization, query for the equipment that not listed in  DEPT_ID.
3.1.13.2Function Description
Click the item of “New Device Status Query”inside the red circle in pic 3-64 to enter into new equipment query interface.

This function is same as the query of equipment status, due to the equipment for query is without organization, this function is without left guide tree.
As in pic 3-65, enter the query condition into the part inside the long red circle, or no need to enter, not enter means the whole.
Click Query button to query, click Export button to print.
